Dr. Mark Rego, MD is a Physician Collaborator/Supervisor for the medical staff at SWC. Dr. Rego brings 23 years of practice experience. He has had an office-based practice this entire time along with an extensive consulting practice. The purpose of the contulting component was to bring psychiatric care where patients often need it most such as the hospital, nursing home or group home. During this time Dr. Rego has maintainded a teaching appointment at the Yale Medical School Department of Psychiatry. He brings expertise in general psychiatric disorders, geriatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology and developmental disabilities. Dr. Rego’s other professional interests have included examenig philosophical aspects of psychiatry as well as bringing psychiatric care to the very poor in parts of rural Peru in South America.
