Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist
Christine is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC). She has almost 20 years experience in the mental health field. She has a Masters degree from Albertus Magnus College in counseling and art therapy. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Art Therapy Association.
Christine has had extensive experience in the area of counseling patients and families who have had difficulties due to anxiety, depression, trauma, hospice-related illness, bereavement, substance abuse issues in hospital, home-care, hospice and outpatient settings. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, the elderly and culturally diverse populations. Clinical approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered and other mindfulness therapies.
Christine believes that therapy, whether it is the traditional “talk therapy” or art therapy can be empowering in how a person can truly understand and heal oneself in times of confusion, emotional pain, anxiety and depression. She creates a safe, peaceful space where you can begin to reveal and heal your true self. In therapy, your stories, needs, struggles and triumphs are important as you make changes in your life and start your path to wellness.
